Metro Manila Film Festival 2011

It keeps getting better and better.
This is how you can describe the 37th Metro Manila Film Festival. With so many huge stars, great plots and big productions participating for the event, audiences are sure to have trouble in choosing what to watch.

This year, seven main stream entries, contrary to the first announced eight entries, and fourteen Indie Films battle their way to the people’s hearts with their different attacks and genres. There is action, horror-thriller, eye-openers, fantasy, comedy, and melodrama. Sequels, familiar faces and comeback movies of some of the biggest stars in the industry are also featured in this event.

Panday 2

Probably the most ambitious MMFF entry so far, this sequel to the 2009 top-billing and multi-awarded Panday Franchise of Sen. Ramon "Bong" Revilla, promises not only great acting skills and good storyline but also amazing special effects that claims can even be compared worldwide.

The story of the second installment follows after Flavio(Revilla)'s quest to save the world and the love of his life Maria (Iza Calzado) from his revived arch nemesis Lizardo. Adding twist to the story is the character of another top-biller to this film Marian Rivera, Arlana, who is Flavio's dragon who turns into a warrior princess whenever his love, Flavio falls into danger.

Mac Alejandre, director of the Panday Series, assures viewers for a grander and better Panday. With lots of Computer Generated Imagery or CGI's, watchers are sure to have a visual spectacle that will make them be entertained for the whole duration of the movie.

Enteng Ng Ina Mo

Following the record breaking success of the mash-up between Agimat and Enteng Kabisote at the 2010 MMFF, comes another fusion of two of the most Blockbuster movies of all time, Ang Enteng ng Ina Mo, starring Ina, Ai Ai delas Alas and beloved Enteng, Vic Sotto.
